An award-winning eraser designed to stay precise for longer
Kadokeshi is a compact eraser built for precision. Instead of a simple block with 8 corners, Kadokeshi is formed from 10 staggered cubes, creating 28 individual corners you can use to erase just the part you want—tiny lines, details in drawings, or one stroke of a kanji character.
As you use it, corners gradually wear down, but the shape is designed so that new corners appear continuously, giving you fresh sharp edges without needing extra space or a bigger eraser. You can even break off a worn “block” to reveal a new set of corners underneath, extending its usable life for detailed work.
Kadokeshi has been celebrated internationally for its clever design: it received Japan’s Good Design Award and was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York as an example of outstanding everyday design. Its harder‑than‑usual eraser material helps corners stay defined longer, making it particularly useful for designers, architects, illustrators, students practicing kanji, and anyone who relies on fine pencil work.
