Designing a 3D-Printed Stand for a Dish Brush Dispenser
I recently discovered this dish brush dispenser and immediately liked how practical it was. It makes washing dishes much easier without constantly getting my hands wet.
The only issue was that the brush had nowhere to dry properly. The sponge and bristles stayed wet after use, which could eventually deform the brush or lead to mold buildup.
To solve this, I designed a simple custom stand in Fusion 360 and 3D printed it. The goal was to keep the brush upright while collecting water droplets neatly underneath.
At first, I modeled the design using both extrude and revolve features. Later, I realized the entire model could almost be created using only revolve 😅 A good reminder that there’s always a simpler way to approach CAD modeling.
The first print failed, but after a few adjustments, the second attempt worked perfectly.
Small project, simple solution, and a satisfying functional print.
